
Hello I'm Suzy Amosu and I’d like to welcome you to Equilibrium. At my purpose built Reformer Pilates studio, just outside Newick in East Sussex, I train clients of all ages and abilities to help improve their Fitness and Well Being. Classes are taught in small groups of 6.

A bit about me
I initially trained in Physical Theatre. After working in the Theatre World for some time, I returned to Education.I studied & worked as a Teacher of Exercise,& Anatomy & Physiology. I have been an Assessor on Personal Training courses for over 15 years.
Fourteen years ago my lower back collapsed and I had emergency surgery.Post operatively I turned to Pilates as part of my rehabilitation process.Ever since then, a strong core & the ongoing good health of my back has been central to my own fitness training.
My passion is enabling people to pursue the lifestyle they enjoy, whilst ensuring their body is healthy & strong as they do it.
As well as clients who want to improve their general fitness,I have worked with clients who have injuries or musculoskeletal issues-either through illness,post surgery or through Sport.
A bit about pilates
Pilates is a System of Physical Fitness, created by Joseph Pilates in the first part of the 20th Century.Since then it has evolved in to a method that focusses on building a strong and adaptable body, able to cope with the demands placed upon it by every day life.
Pilates has been proven to have a positive impact in terms of helping to alleviate back and muscle pain, assisting with general mobility, as well as many other health benefits.
Qualifications include
BREATHE EDUCATION Certification in Pilates Matwork and Reformer,Diploma of Clinical Pilates.
Level 3 Diploma in Teaching Pilates, STOTT Pilates Intensive Reformer and STOTT Pilates Intensive Chair and Barrels. STOTT Pilates Injuries and Special Populations, Tower Pilates Teacher Training,Level 4 Managing Low Back Pain,Level 3 GP Exercise Referral, Level 3 Personal Training, Level 3 Nutrition, Level 3 Adapting Exercise for Older People.

Reformer Pilates Classes
Reformer Pilates classes are highly effective for improving strength,flexibility and motor skills.As clients gain confidence and experience they often feel the benefits of increased energy and ease of movement in their daily lives.
The studio at Equilibrium houses 6 Reformers. The classes are taught in blocks of 6-8 sessions.I recommend booking up to 3 classes a week to maximise benefits.
The classes are open level, by definition that includes beginners and those who have been attending for a while.The classes are challenging but always take in to account the varied abilities of those in the class.It is a whole body workout wherein participation quickly fosters a sense of community
