Hello I'm Suzy Amosu and I’d like to welcome you to Equilibrium. At my purpose built studio, just outside Newick in East Sussex, I train clients of all ages and abilities to help improve both fitness and mobility. Using postural analysis, alongside Pilates and functional exercise, I identify areas of physical difficulty that are impacting on your overall health. We then work more specifically to develop and improve your physical well being. Sessions are either taught one to one or in small groups of up to four participants.
A bit about me
I initially trained in Physical Theatre. After that I studied & worked as a Teacher of Exercise & Anatomy & Physiology. I have been an Assessor on Personal Training courses for over 15 years.
Eleven years ago my lower back collapsed and I had to have surgery.Post operatively I turned to Pilates as part of my rehabilitation process.Ever since then, a strong core & the ongoing good health of my back has been central to my own fitness training.
My passion is enabling people to pursue the patterns of exercise & lifestyle they enjoy whilst ensuring their body is healthy & strong as they do it.
As well as clients who want to improve their all round fitness,I have worked with clients who have injuries or musculoskeletal issues-either through illness, post surgery or sport. I use a combination of Pilates, Motor Skills & Strength Training to rebuild a healthy, functional body.
A bit about pilates
Pilates is a system of physical fitness, created by Joseph Pilates in the first part of the 20th Century.
It involves controlled and flowing movements, carried out in conjunction with breathing patterns and specific muscle engagement.Developing a strong and and effective core is central to its practice.Pilates has been proven to have a positive impact in terms of helping to alleviate back and muscle pain, assisting with joint mobility, as well as many other health benefits.
